Stayed February 2018
This beautiful Grade II-listed property has been used by Rolls-Royce as a private hotel for the last 65 years catering exclusively for it’s overseas visitors. The new owners of this impressive b&b have now seamlessly made the transition to a place to relax in with the same comfort and style. Everything is as Rolls Royce left it, even the books in the wood paneled rooms to the crockery and cutlery used for the delicious meals served here.
My wife and I had been visiting our son in nearby Bristol (15 mins drive) and were looking for somewhere nearby which was quiet and relaxing to stay in to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival by the owner and made to feel at home. Tea and freshly homemade biscuits were promptly served in our room which were gratefully received after our very busy day in Bristol.
Our room ( no 7) was wonderful with a very comfortable bed, a huge bathroom and an enormous window with views onto the garden. We decided to have our dinner at the hotel prepared by their cordon bleu trained cook which was superb!
In the morning we were served with an amazing breakfast freshly cooked to order.
We then took a walk around the large gardens (the house sits within 7 acres) and visited the historic church ruins next to the house.
Would definitely recommend and hope to return next time we visit Bristol.
